HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

Bohol Wisdom School started to offer Secondary Education in 1988 accommodating only the first year and second year levels. It was only in the following school year (1989-1990) when the high school department was fully operational; in fact, it had its first Commencement Exercises then, producing only eighteen (18) graduates.

As it progresses through time, a few principals – Dr. Jose Caberte (1989-2007), Dr. Maria Lona Iway (2007-2010), Mr. Raul Deloso (2010-2015) and Mrs. Norberta Romo (2015-present) – have also served and contributed to its growth and development. Furthermore, its population has also significantly escalated every year, a proof that BWS has gained the trust and confidence of the parents. Undoubtedly, it is an institution that builds up its learners not just academically but holistically.

Meanwhile, BWS High School Department is composed of thirteen sections – four in Grade 7; three in Grades 8, 9 and 10, respectively – and manned by 24 young, dynamic and innovative teachers. It provides a variety of subjects introducing students to different learning fields, broadening their views and knowledge. It also carries out the maximizes the potentials of the students through diversified co-curricular and extra-curricular activities sponsored by the different clubs: English Club, Math Club, Science Club, Socio Club, Filipino Club, Chinese Club, Cyber Club, Arts Club, Theater Arts Club and Student Catholic Action. These clubs aim to cater to the students’ different interests and inclinations.

While it is true that several changes have been effected, those changes were certainly for the betterment of the school and for the benefit of the studentry, and that the quality of education it offers has never been jeopardized. In effect, it continues to excel in interschool competitions and constantly produces globally competitive graduates, as well.
